Linenspa is a very popular seller of mattresses and sleep accessories, both on its own website and online retailers like Wayfair, Walmart, and Amazon.
Because of this, Linenspa was one of the first mattress brands I looked into back in 2019 when fiberglass mattress dangers first started gaining coverage in mainstream and social media.
Asking Linenspa About Fiberglass Use
Linenspa did not have any info on its website about fiberglass back when I first looked, and it still doesn’t as far as I can find.
I decided to send Linenspa an email and ask these questions:
Do your mattresses have Fiberglass? What about Polyester, Rayon, Modacrylic, and Antimony? Where are your mattresses made?
This is the reply I received from Linenspa about fiberglass:
“There are no harmful chemicals or fire retardants used in the manufacturing of the product..The only one with the fiberglass fire retardant and that is the 5″ gel memory foam mattress. The rest have a non removable cover.”
-Linenspa
Linenspa admits fiberglass use in at least one mattress, however, the mentioning of non-removable cover suggests its use in more mattresses.
I asked Linenspa how the non-removable cover mattresses were flame retardant, and this is what it said:
“They are a treated cotton similar to what you would like with children’s pajamas.”
-Linenspa
So Linenspa uses some sort of flame-retardant chemicals, if not fiberglass.
Fiberglass in Linenspa Mattresses
While Linenspa openly admitted the use of fiberglass in its 5″ Gel Memory Foam Mattress, which Amazon reviews supported, I had a feeling there was fiberglass in others.
I checked reviews for other popular Linenspa mattresses on Amazon and found a few mentions of fiberglass. However, one repeating thing I saw was Linenspa’s avoidance of fiberglass questioning and a tendency of just telling customers to check the tag.
Since Linenspa wasn’t very transparent, I decided that more of its mattresses than stated probably contained fiberglass. I do not recommend Linenspa mattresses.

While shopping for his daughter’s first “big girl” bed in 2019, John learned about the hidden dangers of fiberglass in mattresses. Since then, he’s made it his mission to expose as much hidden fiberglass in mattresses as possible. His ultimate goal is federal regulations that ban fiberglass from being used in mattresses, or at least a law that requires it to be listed as a material on required tags.
